The 2019 Open Campus will be held at the Keio University Shonan Fujisawa  Campus. The Open Campus will feature mock lectures, classroom tours,  laboratory visits, and tours around the campus.

◆Points to keep in mind
1) You cannot make reservations for individual program events at Open Campus, so you may not be able to see one in particular if its capacity is reached.
2) Please keep in mind that morning buses from Shonandai Station (湘南台駅) may be quite crowded (especially 9:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.).
3) Taking photos or videos is permitted as long as it does not interfere with the event. *Prohibited if lecturers state so during mock lectures etc.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT)とのジョイント講義を実施

12月11日、未来創造塾滞在棟にて、SFCのGIGA科目「世界史のなかの日本」(担当:清水唯一朗)とMIT(マサチューセッツ工科大学)歴史学部の講義「World History」(担当:Hiromu Nagahara教授、Sana Aiyar教授)の中継講義が行われました。グローバルヒストリーの重要性が唱えられるなか、この二つの講義は双方の学習効果を高めるべく、中継と講義ウェブサイト上のディスカッションを通じたジョイントクラスとして運営されました。 秋学期の始めに大英帝国と大日本帝国それぞれの世界地図をもとにキックオフディスカッションを行ったのち、講義ウェブサイトで岡倉天心とタゴールの作品を読みながら意見を交わして思想的な理解を獲得し、日印米の近代史年表を共同で作成して通時的な理解を深め、この日の最終プレゼン・ディスカッションに臨みました。SFC側は深夜、MIT側は早朝の中継であるにも関わらず、近代にとどまらず、古代から現代まで幅広い活発な議論が展開されました。 日本とアメリカ東海岸は13時間の時差があるため、これまでこうした中継講義は困難でしたが、未来創造塾滞在棟の講義での利用が今学期から可能になったことにより実現しました。今後、MITに留まらず、SFCの日本研究クラスと各国の大学との中継クラスが広がりそうです。 詳細はこちら
